The basics of my work

Here you will find answers to common questions that I usually get from people. In case you still have any question after reading this, please do not hesitate to contact me. You can find the contact form on the bottom of the page.

What is coaching?

The big coaching organisations like DCG or DBVC define coaching as giving advice and here I absolutely don’t agree. My personal understanding of efficient coaching is providing support, giving direction and being a safe company in difficult terrain (and I need to give credit to the Austrian (Tyrolean) Mountain Guides Association for this definition).

What is meditation?

Meditation means unconditional presence, inner clarity and balance. It is the base for coping with the specific challenges of our accelerated, digital age. A variety of meditation techniques help to reach the actual state of meditation.

Coaching that works with meditation uses a personalised selection of these techniques that are suitable for you and your current situation; either activating ( to get processes in motion) or stabilising ( so that the newly learned can settle).

The aim of meditative coaching is to integrate the experiences of silence and the moments concentrating on oneself into everyday professional and private life so that it intensifies one’s life and thereby one finds more inner calm and contentment.

What is self-hypnosis?

Self-hypnosis and medical hypnosis are scientific methods being used in medicine, psychotherapy and increasingly also for coaching.

The world as we perceive it, is based on the power of inner images that we store in our subconscious mind. When in a state of trance, which is essentially nothing else than focusing one’s attention, these images can easily be recognised and effectively be worked on through hypnosis.

Why performing meditation and self-hypnosis in coaching?

Though there are clear differences, meditation, self-hypnosis and medical hypnosis are similar methods. Meditation in the 21st century is being used without any religious or spiritual connection. And I would like to emphasise that I am talking about modern hypnosis as a method being used in medical hypnosis or hypnotherapy. We are not talking about any kind of nonsense like stage hypnotism.

Neither meditation nor hypnosis carries any burden from the past and they complete the perception of man. They are the key for a holistic approach to working with people, regardless of the topics.

Can everyone learn self-hypnosis?

(Almost) everyone can learn self-hypnosis. As it is a natural phenomenon, it is very easy to learn. The only thing to learn is, how to get there and how to use this resource for your own goods.

Learning methods of self-hypnosis is a very effective add-on, providing clients not only with the ability to work on their wellbeing themselves but also with a powerful tool for their health.
